The Role
Join us in our mission to meet an extensive FTTH cable network construction program. We are seeking a methodical individual who can think practically, foster enthusiasm, and drive tangible construction output for both internal and external teams. The role of the Build Co-Ordinator is that of a highly responsible problem solver, capable of maintaining a critical eye on construction progress aligned with program delivery milestones. The Build Co-Ordinator must be demanding in their expectation of process output and owner accountability, respectively. Successful program delivery can only be achieved through meticulous organisation, good planning, risk mitigation and a determination to deliver results. As a crucial customer construction management organisation member, the Build Co-Ordinator is responsible for build capability and execution quality.
Role Requirements
- Responsibility for successful network build, aligned with the build program schedule
- Responsible for appropriate + adequate Build Partner resource deployment, escalating risk when necessary
- Maintaining workflow management progress data updates
- Technical Readiness network completion in advance of access network build
- Ensuring adequate stock availability in advance of the build date
- Forecasting work instructions to meet Build Program plans – prompting stakeholder updates to avoid build program/pack release failure
- Ensure that specific build risks (e.g., ESB proximity, special engineering difficulties, etc.) have been mitigated before the building program begins.
- Ensure timely capital budget (CER) approvals + Purchase Order creation, to meet build program
- Assistance with month-end ‘work in progress’ spend accruals
- Monthly contractor stock take governance
- Tracking build progress actual vs forecast vs budget
- Maintaining quality through continuous liaison with independent build Quality Audit teams.
Main Job Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver monthly Build targets aligned with the Build Program
- Smart dashboard progress reporting
- Drive corrective action when program risk has been identified
- Weekly Build Partner resource tracking
- Build progress tracking based on Business Intelligence data
- Participation in regular progress meetings with internal + external stakeholders
- Awareness of construction cost and efficiency when program deviation events are prompted.
